Day 25 Eastbourne to Arundel - North Devon House of Prayer

Day 25 Eastbourne to Arundel

I stayed over night with John and Yvonne Presdee in Eastbourne. It was the first time I’d met them.in person having many mutual friends.

Before I’d left Devon The Lord had spoken to me and told me I was to go to Beachy Head.  John being no stranger ti the place gladly gave me the tour and we spent some-time praying in the key spots. He then took me to meet the chaplains where we had a great time exchanging storie and praying.

We then headed back to John’s and continued exchanging stories.. such an encouragement!

Left them just gone 1pm and as I turned onto the main road it started to rain.. hard! Then turned to hail! So I sheltered under a bus stop with my bike just past the end of John and Yvonne’s drive for nearly 15 minutes waiting for the weather to change. This happened three times towards Lewes and each time there was abus stop or large tree to give me shelter.

On my way past Lewes I met a guy called chris on the trail. We had a great little connect and he generously shared his local knowledge. He’d also spent sometime in Iceland cycling so we traded stories for sometime.

Thanks Chris

I continued into Brighton and them throttle worthing and onto Arundel.

As the nights draw in, I continued in the dark.. but then my gully charged lights failed so after fussing about in my panniers due to back up light plans B,C and D. I was a le to get re aluminated and I got to my destination.

Tent went up in about 4 minutes and I’m now tucked up in my pj’s writing this.

Thanks for joining along.

Forecast good for tomorrow.. let’s see where Holy spirit leads us.
