Had a great night’s sleep at Kevin and Rachel’s in Athlone. Up early and on the road by 8.30.

Took a route by the marina on the river. At the end of the above bridge and guy was sat in the sunshine and I felt led to have a chat with him. Eddie had preciously been an electoral engineer. I asked him about faith and spirituality he responded that he liked Richard Dawkins. The conversation fortunately changed direction and I then had opportunity to share my testimony. I drew our conversation to a close and headed east towards Galway.
Some lovely flat roads lay ahead of me giving me better progress. I got 10km short of Balinasloe and Trevor Hill called me. We’d met previously but not to any great extent so it was great to spend some time over brunch chatting and hearing each other’s stories.

After lunch I pedaled on and after a short stop in Athanry and opportunity to give testimony I continued to a village just outside Galway where I met last night’s hosts and parents.
Prayer… please pray the riots in Ballymena stop. By rain or God’s hand.
