Day 22 (in motion/ riding) Ashford to Folkstone

Izzy and Mark leaders of Willesborough Baptist Church.

Knowing I had a meeting at 8 15 am in Canterbury meant rolling early. Infact I’d not checked the lighting up times and it was lights on as it was most definitely dark!

I left Mark and Izzy’s house at 6am and made my way out of Ashford towards Wye and over the downs. I would say it was beautiful but i was in a cloud and couldn’t see anything. But boy did it rain!!!! Like dressed in the shower type rain. I was so wet but, with the rain not abating I just needed to press on.

I arrived in Canterbury and met Tim and Honor Todd from Thanet for breakfast and then we met with Lindal Bywater and had a time of Prayer regarding the nation amongst other things.

I managed to dry my gear out.. my jacket seemed to be more akin to a sieve !

Tim and Honor

I finished in Cantebury just before lunch and then headed again over some hills towards Dover. Quite slow going for my first day back at it  – but not surprising.

Dover Castle

Arrived in Dover to meet an Uncle and Aunt Richard and Linda Beer from nr Sevenoaks. Had a lovely meal on the seafront. Shared stories and then as dusk was coming in we said our goodbye’s and I headed over the hills to Folkstone.

I good day. Lots of Prayer and opportunity to meet some amazing people.
