Didn’t sleep well.. tummy cramps from something I’d eaten so up a nunber of times over night. Prayed and pushed on.

Shortly after leaving kenmare I had a choice longer vs steeper. As the road was called ‘Priests leap’ i went that way. Immediately I saw a young deer in he road. Lots of amazing waterfalls and then managed to destroy my bottom bracket due to the force on the pedals, weight of panniers and steepness of the road . This meant that I couldn’t turn the pedals correctly.. i continued the 5km to Bantry and found a bike shop with exactly the right spare part and a mechanic to fit it for me.

I left there with 50km still to ride to Mizen Head. More headwinds weren’t making things any easier. I felt a little emotional upon arrival at Mizen Head due to the fact it was a conclusion of the wider UK and Ireland ride.
Upon getting to Mizen i had a short time in prayer and calling Ireland to ‘Wake up’ and take its place. I treated myself to an icecream and then headed back North to my lift to Cork.
Josh Wyborn was giving me a lift but in trying to get to him I felt to stop at a junction. Unaware why, I lent my bike up and sat on the grass in the sunshine to try and reflect on what I’d completed. 5 minutes later a coach stops in the junction. I ran over to ask if they take bikes. ? She The said sure and opened the side of the coach for me to put my bike in. I went to pay with card as I climbed on the coach. She said cash only. I went to get off the bus and she said we’ll sort it later and then told me not to worry about it! As I arrived in Skul Josh was enroute to there so I got off the coach and waited in the town square. Thankfully to The Lord for His provision.
Josh then took me upto Cork and dropped me in a short ride to my evening’s hosts Nick and Holly Peter’s. They’d very kindly collected a bike box for me from local bike shop. Fed me. Given me a bed and then gave me a lift to the Airpirt this morning.

Was given a lovely breakfast and we chatted about hearing God’s voice then Nick took me to the Airport.
A great end to a great trip.
